MGFS100 갤러리의 좋은 친구, 강목 작가와 키미작 작가의 2인전 “ 표정 그리고 무표정 ” 을 오는 2026년 10월 31일부터 11월 29일까지 선보입니다.

이번 전시는 표정이 마음을 보여주고 무표정이 마음을 감춘다는 익숙한 믿음에서 출발해 그 경계를 들여다봅니다.

누군가의 웃음 뒤에는 외로움이 있고 아무 표정 없는 얼굴에는 수많은 감정이 머물기도 합니다.

강목 작가의 ‘동그리’는 작가 자신을 닮은 가장 작은 단위의 얼굴로, 서로 포개어져 마주 볼 때 주고받는 사랑의 방향을 드러냅니다.

키미작 작가의 ‘존도’는 익명성과 보편성을 함께 지닌 얼굴로, 이름도 표정도 지워진 그 앞에서 우리는 자연스레 자신의 모습을 떠올리게 됩니다.

두 작가가 건네는 얼굴들 앞에서 잠시나마 자신의 마음을 들여다보는 시간이 되시길 바랍니다. 감사합니다.

MGFS100 Gallery presents Expression and Blankness, a joint exhibition by our good friends KANG MOK and KIMI JAAK, on view from October 31 to November 29, 2026.

The exhibition begins with the familiar belief that an expression reveals the heart while a blank face conceals it, then looks closely at the line between the two.

Behind someone’s smile there can be loneliness, and a face showing nothing may hold any number of feelings.

KANG MOK’s ‘Donggri’ is a round face made in the artist’s own likeness and the smallest unit of the work.

As the circles overlap, the eyes within them turn toward one another and the direction of love given and received comes into view.

KIMI JAAK’s ‘John Doe’ is a face stripped of both name and expression, anonymous and universal at once, and standing before it we find ourselves picturing our own.

The faces these two artists offer leave room for a moment of looking inward.
